An "Agent" is defined by his or her Agency. Agency is that relationship where the principal (you) place trust in another to act in your best interest, as though the agent is performing the service for themselves. The relationship is similar to that of a physician who is looking out for you interests to the exclusion of others' interests. One might also draw a parallel to legal representation where the client is backed and supported to the exclusion of any other person's interest. In order for me to be a true agent for you I must fulfill 7 fiduciary duties. If you locate any "agent" who is not willing to commit to all of these, I suggest that you find an Exclusive Buyer's Agent who is willing to.
